Connecting publishers and partners to discuss the growing role of first-party data in activation and monetisation

As we head into the summer months, there’s a natural moment to pause, step back from the pace of the day-to-day, and reconnect with the people shaping our industry.

On Thursday 7th May, AUDIENCES will be hosting an informal evening of drinks in London, bringing together publishers, data partners and industry peers for a relaxed and open conversation. This isn’t an event with a packed agenda or a stage. Instead, it’s deliberately simple. A chance to meet, share perspectives and spend time with others navigating the same shifts across media, data and advertising.

A changing role for publishers

The backdrop to these conversations is an important one. Across the industry, the role of first-party data continues to evolve. While publishers have long played a critical role in enabling brands to reach audiences, we’re now seeing a broader shift with publishers increasingly looking at how they can take greater ownership of their own data.

That means thinking not just about audience reach, but about how authenticated audiences can be activated and monetised more effectively, in ways that maintain control, protect user trust and create long-term value. It’s a space that’s moving quickly, and one that benefits from open, collaborative discussion.

How AUDIENCES supports publishers

At AUDIENCES, we work closely with publishers to help unlock the value of their first-party data. Our approach is simple in principle: activation happens directly within the publisher’s own cloud environment, with no data movement or duplication. This means publishers retain full control of their data while enabling it to be activated across media in real time.

For many, this is opening up new opportunities - from driving incremental revenue to building more direct, transparent relationships across the ecosystem.

An evening to reconnect

Ultimately, this event is about people. In an industry that moves quickly and often communicates through screens, there is real value in coming together in person to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new ones, and have the kinds of conversations that don’t always fit into a calendar slot. We’re looking forward to welcoming a mix of publishers, partners and friends for what promises to be a great evening.
