AUDIENCES Joins IAB Europe's Great Debate: CTV 2026
Our Co-Founder and CCO, Matt Wilkinson, joins industry leaders in London on 18 November to debate the future of Connected TV. Join us in person or online.
We're delighted to be taking part in IAB Europe's The Great Debate: CTV 2026, taking place on Wednesday 18 November in London and online, hosted by Integral Ad Science (IAS).
Bringing together leading voices from across Europe's digital advertising ecosystem, the event will tackle some of the biggest questions facing Connected TV (CTV), from measurement and transparency to the evolving relationship between television and digital advertising.
As a member of IAB Europe, we're particularly pleased that Matt Wilkinson, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer at AUDIENCES, will be joining the debate, sharing his perspective on how CTV should be planned, measured and integrated into wider digital advertising strategies.
Digital or television? Let the debate begin.
Matt will be speaking in the headline debate:
"This House Believes That CTV Should Be Planned and Measured as Part of Digital, Not Television."
He'll be joined by Nick Welch, Senior Director, Programmatic and Sell-side Development, EMEA at IAS, arguing in favour of the proposition, with Lisa Kalyuzhny, VP of Sales, EMEA at Nexxen, taking the opposing position.
The discussion will be moderated by Paul Gubbins, CTV Lead, EMEA at Google Ad Exchange Platform.
With CTV continuing to reshape how advertisers reach and engage audiences, the debate raises important questions about the future of media planning, measurement and the role of data in delivering more effective advertising.
At AUDIENCES, we believe the ability to activate first-party data across channels, including CTV, is increasingly important for brands looking to deliver relevant, measurable advertising while retaining control of their data.
We're looking forward to hearing different perspectives, challenging assumptions and contributing to what promises to be a lively discussion.
Plenty more on the agenda
Beyond the headline debate, the event will explore some of the industry's most pressing challenges and opportunities, including:
- CTV measurement: Are we getting closer to consistent, comparable measurement across Europe?
- Transparency: What standards and frameworks are needed to build greater confidence in CTV advertising?
- The broadcaster perspective: How can broadcasters balance premium content environments with increasing programmatic demand?
- The future of CTV planning: How should advertisers approach CTV as the boundaries between digital and traditional television continue to evolve?
Attendees will also hear about IAB Europe's CTV Measurement Framework and the work being undertaken to support greater consistency and transparency across the industry.
An event with a special connection to AUDIENCES
The Great Debate also has a personal connection for the AUDIENCES team. Our VP of Marketing, Helen Mussard, originally launched The Great Debate during her time as CMO at IAB Europe, creating a platform for the industry to come together, challenge thinking and discuss the issues shaping digital advertising.
It's an event that has remained close to her heart, making it particularly special to see AUDIENCES now participating as an IAB Europe member. We're proud to support initiatives that bring the industry together and encourage open, constructive debate about its future.
