As first-party data became more valuable, activating it became more complex and risky. Brands were told this was inevitable. But the problem wasn't ambition or intent. It was the underlying architecture.

Our origin

AUDIENCES was conceived in 2022, grounded in first-hand experience managing customer data inside large, regulated organisations.

The founders of AUDIENCES had seen how privacy and governance function in practice — not in theory. And they recognised a structural failure in the market: most activation solutions still relied on moving, copying or externally processing data in order to use it.
As regulation tightened and cloud infrastructure matured, that model became increasingly unviable.
AUDIENCES WAS BUILT ON A DIFFERENT BELIEF:
Activation should happen where the data already lives.
That belief led to a new architecture designed from the ground up to operate entirely inside a brand or data owner's cloud, distributing signals, not datasets.
